This is a TRUE CLASSIC Vintage CALIFORNIA YAMAHA DT-1 175cc ENDURO Dual Purpose Bike !!!!!!!She Starts GREAT. Runs GREAT. Shifts GREAT . the Brakes all work GREAT ! Her Clutch works GREAT ! . & I think "SHE LOOKS STUNNING" ! She seems to have all of her Light controls. Factory YAMAHA Spark Arrestor Silencer. stop light switch & has her Handle bar lighting controls. She has Almost "Like New Tires" & all of her Control cables (Front & Rear Brake cables. Throttle. Oil Injection cable. Clutch etc. seem to work GREAT ! ! ! She Still has Her "Original 1977 YAMAHA" Fuel Tank Graphics We have cosmetically restored her & cleaned and refinished her in the Beautiful 1970's thru 1980's YZ Color Scheme "Yellow" which as you can see is FAR more Attractive as compared to the original 1977 dull blue. This is a Quick. Very Light & Very Nimble Dual Purpose Bike. The GREAT Thing About Being a 1977 YAMAHA DT 175 it is Identical to a DT 125 except She has a Piston nearly the same diameter size of a 250 DT 1 Piston * * THEREFORE . You Get a Nice Light Weight. Nimble + Easy to Handle bike with Great Power to Weight . I would guess fairly close to the Horse Power of an early DT-1 250 & she weights I would estimate nearly 80 to 100 pounds less than an early DT-1 250. & with the Updated Adjustable "Air Forks" & Amazing "MONO Shock rear Suspension etc etc This would have about Twice the Suspension & therefore would be Twice the Off- Bike & she is FAR Lighter I would estimate 80 to 100 pounds Lighter than the Original Series DT-1 250 ENDURO'S With about the Same HP !PLEASE NOTE: 1977 is a Particularly GREAT Year for the YAMAHA DT-1 175 cc ENDURO as I believe it is the Very First year YAMAHA Ever put "AIR Adjustable FORKS" on a Street Bike & The "FAMOUS SUPER TRICK MONO SHOCK" Rear Suspension & Advanced FAR Better Cooling Radial Head & thru the frame High Performance YAMAHA Exhaust System (which was "ROCKET SCIENCE" for a YZ Dirt Racing Bike in 1975 & for the first time Ever That "ALL of these GREAT Things" are Here in 1977 on this Wonderful ENDURO Street/Off Road Bike" * * that was intended for Street Use as well ! The year prior 1968-1976 YAMAHA ENDURO in comparison had Antiquated Suspension as this bikes Suspension & FAR Less Horse Power etc I would Estimate her Mono Shock Suspension should be approximately twice as good as a 1968 thru 1976 YAMAHA Enduro !!!!!The Gentleman that I am selling this bike for used this bike primarily for off highway use & then in 2005 put the bike in covered storage. Last week I flushed the tank & cleaned & restored the carburetor. Put Gas in her & She started on the 2nd kick !!!!!!!! & She has RUN FANTASTIC Every Since !!! To me it looks like all of her wiring seems to be there & her handle bar controls seem to be there. But. do not know if the Headlight bulb etc is out or ??? as I cannot figure out how to make it & the other horn button etc to operate. (It may be that the switch contacts may need to be cleaned also There is a aftermarket switch on top of the headlight. hen I opened the headlight up one of its 6 wire contacts is unsoldered ? It looks like it would be easy to remedy but I just do not have a soldering gun sine my son moved out Last December. So that may be why it is not operational ? To save weight the prior owner removed the battery decades ago (It runs fine without it. but. You can get a brand new Battery thru bike bandit. com or ebay for about 20 dollars. also to save weight the prior owner was just using the "Run/off" switch next to the Twist Grip throttle & I think he also removed the ignition key switch to save weight. She Still has her OIL INJECTION Pump . Oil Injection Tank & operating cable paralleling the throttle cable but he detached the oil pump to carb. line. . On the right side there is just the side number panel conversely on it's left side she has a body work cover with Number panel. I HAVE A NICE FULL SIZE "HAYNES" WORKSHOP REPAIR MANUAL THAT I WILL BE INCLUDING "FREE" TO THE WINNING BIDDER !!!!
