1971 YAMAHA 250 ENDURO DT1 Street legal trail bike with title DT-1 DT2 DT3 RT1

1971 Yamaha 250 Enduro DT-1 motorcycle in very nice condition. Rare. Street Legal with current California registration. plate and tile in hand. Matching numbers on engine and frame. Start easily and runs well. 3516 actual miles. This motorcycle was taken out of long term storage in Fall. the carburetor and fuel petcock rebuilt. the battery was replaced. a tune-up kit installed. and the oil was change. It starts on or two kicks. clutch works smoothly. all gears engage properly. and it runs cleanly with up to the 7500rpm red line. Engine is quiet and idles nicely at a range of 1200-1500rpm. depending on whether the choke is on or off. Speedometer. tripmeter. nbsp; odometer all work correctly. Tires have tread life remaining. but do show some age cracks in the rubber. holding air without any leaks. Front and back brakes feel strong and stop well. Tail light and brake light illuminate as they should. headlight was working on both high and low but now I noticed it is not lighting up anymore. Turn signals light up and horn honks loudly. The original Autolube Injection System has been fully tested and verified to be working. it is currently filled with synthetic two stroke oil oil which greatly reduces the smoke output while increasing efficiency. Inside of gas tank is clean and rust free. has never been sealed with and product. Chain and rear sprocket show no visible signs of wear and the adjusters indicate very minimal stretch. Forks and shocks move freely throughout there range. Seat vinyl is soft. no damage or cracks anywhere and foam has good support. Paint is beautifully cleans. very minor nicks. scratches and fading only evident upon close inspection. Stock exhaust pipe has the original baffle intact. no holes or weak spots. works as it should. Chrome parts are clean and shiny. but not perfect. inspection will reveal minor pitting and flaws in some areas. Overall. a very nice and complete Southern California Vintage DT-1 Enduro. Street Legal. that looks and runs excellent for its maintained and should provide many more years of service and enjoyment. Include one original black handled Yamaha key. plus one Yamaha service manual with detailed repair techiniques. wiring diagrams. and a lot of useful information. You may inspect the bike in person BEFORE the end of the if you like.
