1970 Yamaha RT1 360 enduro

1970 Yamaha RT1 360 enduroI bought this bike as an easy project that I could ride while slowly restoring. but other bike projects took precedence and i lost interest in it. so It's up for sale. I last rode it 3 years ago. I have another 1970 RT1 360 nice parts bike for sale in another listing. Maybe buy them both. here's what's good with this bike:1st year RT1. you don't see the 1970 bikes up for sale nearly as often as the later bikesseat is in great shape. foam is also in good shape. tank is original paint. has some dents. motor doesnt seem to leak oil. autolube oil injection is hooked up and worked fine the last time I rode the bike. expensive original aluminum front fender has been painted. but looks like it is in excellent shape under the paint. has good spark and compression. it looks like an easy project. just missing some stuff. It ran pretty well. shifted. topped etc . but needs a carb to airbox rubber. and carb will probably need to be cleaned. I put on new tires a couple years ago. and they still look like new. maybe 10 miles on them. original hand control. switches and throttle are all in good shape. original front turn signals are in decent shape. shocks are in good usable shape. forks are in good shape. seals don't seem to leak. pipe is in decent shape. and the baffle is still in there. engine covers are all in nice shape. they are not all scratched and gouged up. I dont think this bike lived a hard life. here is what is missing or is wrong with the bike:motor number doesnt match the frame number. maybe it's an RT1B (1971) motor? motor number is RT1-24560there is no title for this motorcycle. i can provide a bill of sale. missing original rear turn signals. rear fender has been repaired. and will need some additional grinding/sanding/repainting. or just replace it. missing gauges. but mount is there. and one cable is included. the grips are not original. tank was lined a long time ago. doesnt seem to be flaking. the lighting is not all hooked up. rider footpeg rubbers are missingtaillight is not correct for a 1970 RT1oil bag is dented. there is no tool roll in the toolbox. no speedo. actual mileage is unknown. I am not the vintage Yamaha expert. I can measure. take more pictures. and respond to questions. but you are the expert. Ask Questions. Payment via paypal or cash on pickup is fine. I can hold this bike for 30 days or so. but please make reasonable progress to pick it up within that time. please don't bid on this if you cant pay for it. it's a 45 yr old motorcycle. it is sold as is. there is no title for this motorcycle. i can provide a bill of sale.
