1986 Yamaha FX700 Fazer

1986 Fazer now becoming increasingly rare. Only imported for two years (86-87). This example I bought nearly two years ago and have put on a grand total of about 200 miles! It currently has 13707 miles and it may increase by a few if I take it for a farewell ride! It had been repainted black before I bought it professionally done and it has had the original tail pipes replaced with megaphone style so it is quite loud. I do not have the original tailpipes. Apart from this it looks to be very stock. Starts stops steers-does everything it should and is in very good condition considering it is nearly 30 years old. A blast to ride but I don't have the time to regularly ride and she deserves a home where she gets more use. Recent battery replacement fork rebuild and service after purchase. I also replaced the fuel cap as the original was broken. It does not look like she has had a hard life and certainly has not over the last couple of years (never seen rain during my tenure).No signs of being down but with all of these models it seems that the fan temperature sensor for the radiator has gone to the land of the departed so it has been replaced with a manual switch which you can turn on and off when required. The aluminum finish on several of the parts is anodized and I have not tried to clean them or bring them back. Chrome is in good condition for its age except for a small dent in the tank surround. That's it. A solid low mileage example of an 80's sport bike that is just a lot of fun.
