Description

I am selling my 1969 Yamaha AS2C 125 Motorcycle. It is beautiful and has been in my family 45 years and was HARDLY every ridden. It belonged to my mother. My dad bought it for her and she wasn't a biker so it mostly stayed in our garage and has never spent a day outside. The color is called "California orange" however the actual color is more of a red. It has ORIGINAL BLACK CALIFORNIA plates and is gorgeous for its age.

My family purchased the motorcycle in January of 1970 from the original owner in California. This has always been a California motorcycle living a relaxed and peaceful lifestyle. The bike was just a few months old when we bought it. I rode it a bit as a teenager from age 14-16 until I got a car but that was decades ago and it has been kept in pristine living conditions the entire time. The most action this bike has seen was in 1994 during the California Earthquake. Our house was red-tagged and a portion of the garage fell on themotorcycle. The headlight and the fork ears were smashed. I spent 10 years (prior to internet) writing letters to junk yards trying to find replacement parts (that's probably an indication of how old I am). The past 10 years thanks to the internet I have searched online for original parts - AS THE REPAIR HAD TO BE PERFECT!! Last year I found original NOS fork ears but I have not put them on the bike (see photos). I never found the headlight bucket in California Orange so I purchased one in blue and had it painted silver. It turned out so good that I left it that way.

I JUST HAD THE BIKE RE-REGISTERED AND IT HAS UP TO DATE TAGS THOUGH I DIDN'T PUT THEM ON. I left the old tags on for Nostalgia.

This bike is a 1969 so it does have a few scratches and bumps. But for its age it is an absolute treasure and you will not find better.

I have two ignition keys and two steering lock keys the original owners manual tool kit (thats housed under the seat) the pink slip and old registration paperwork from 1969 and other various years.

This is what I have recently done to the bike:

Complete Service

New Shorai Acid Free Battery

Engine seals replaced

Carburetors rebuilt

New tires

Original seat grips and fork gators

New pistons with heads adjusted for squish so runs great on unleaded

Original oil pump - works great
