My boy has finally outgrown his trusty TTR. But this is not a STOCK TTR90. Stock TTR90's are very small weak and very limited bikes. Like all bikes of it's type (TTR110 XR70 XR80 XR100 CRF70 CRF80 CRF100...) they are only good for pootling around on slowly and in mild conditions. This TTR90 has been made taller and has been greatly enhanced so that it is now a very capable all-rounder and it's modifications have proved to be excellent and RELIABLE for over 3 years now. Your kid(s) won't quickly outgrow this bike they'll comfortably grow INTO it's abilities over YEARS of fun riding - just like my boy did. This TTR90 has been MASSIVELY UPGRADED professionally to retain all its original good qualities (comfortable reliable friendly and easy to ride. . .) and also expand its abilities dramatically. It can still bimble about slowly and super comfortably like a stock TTR but unlike a stocker it now has the ability to also handle even really tough trails and even fly over motocross jumps (even the BIG ones) with ease. It's not a race bike though it's a sporty trail bike - a kid sized Enduro bike. + Engine performance enhancements have been made but only fairly mild ones so that the bike is quicker than stock but retains its legendary reliability. + MAJOR suspension upgrades include adapting motocross suspension from a KX60 onto this bike front and rear plus a high performance remote reservoir Ohlins shock absorber ($650 new !!!) Other sources of info-------------------------------------------------------------------I have a web page with lots of pics and details showing how this bike was built but ebay won't let me insert it here - google "speed freaks ttr90x" and you'll find itI also have a video that shows this bike effortlessly sailing over motocross jumps - again ebay won't let me insert it so go to youtube and search for "TomasAirborne Jan 2015"Details ------------------------------------------------------------------- - Excellent condition needs nothing is ready to ride - Properly maintained starts/idles/runs. . . perfectly has always been 100% reliable - Fits 6-13yr olds depending on their size* - Friendly/torquey/easy-to-use FOUR stroke motor - Semi-automatic 3 speed transmission (no clutch to learn) Power improvements: De-restricted airbox exhaust silencer converted to straight-through perforated core type (now sporty sounding but not super loud) carburetor re-jetted to suit Chassis Improvements: Motocross suspension from a KX60 professionally adapted to fit increasing suspension travel seat height and ground clearance by about 4" over stock *Note: This bike could be put back to stock fairly easily but as it stands it is; about 4" taller than a stock TTR90 (and TTR110 XR80 CRF80. . .) and is about same size as a KX60 (and KX65 RM60 RM65. . .) and is about 6" shorter than a YZ80 / YZ85 (and about 4" shorter than a TTR125). PS: Front tire is a bit old/could use replacing but I have a fresher and decent (less than 1/2 worn) tire I will include See the "Bike History. . ." below for more details. Cheers Mario Bike History / Evolution ------------------------------------------------------------------- My boy (small in stature and fairly mild in nature) got this bike when he was 8 yrs old. It was a nice friendly and completely stock little trail bike. He pootled around on it for a couple of years doing mostly just mild trail riding and he also enjoyed getting a bit of air on it occasionally. But the suspension was terrible for jumping (it's too soft and too short-travel. . . to be comfortable or SAFE!) and by the time he was 10 he'd completely outgrown the bike's very limited performance and it's short size too. He tried upgrading to the next size up bike a KX60 (which is like a KX65 and RM60 RM65) which is a motocross bike that has excellent suspension for jumping. But he HATED it. This is because all the next-size-up bikes have race-ready little two-stroke motors that have an explosively abrupt power delivery. Way too extreme for his moderate riding style and way too hard to control on steep and tight twisty trails (dangerous!). So we sold the KX and did the massive upgrades required to make his friendly little TTR significantly taller and a bit faster and MUCH more capable. Adapting KX60 motocross suspension onto this bike made it truly AWESOME. For the next 3 years (from 10 to 13yrs old) my son enjoyed it's greatly expanded trail and motocross abilities which made even BIG jumps (clearing youth MX table tops and doubles) "sooooo comfortable" and above all SAFE. He's LOVED it. His wimpy little trail bike was transformed into a sporty kid sized "enduro" bike that suited his moderately adventurous personality perfectly. No longer a weak little trail-only bike like a; TTR90 TTR110 TTR125 XR80 XR70 CRF70 CRF80 XR100 CRF100. . .. Not an explosive hair-on-fire two-stroke race bike like a KX60 KX65 RM60 RM65. . . Now a super versatile and sporty kid-sized enduro bike -- think kid's version of a WR250F (or CRF250F)
