1976 Yamaha XS500C factory cafe racer rare rare xs500 XS 500 very nice condition

This bike is basically a barn find but instead of a barn it was a rented mini storage. Sat in storage since 1986 under all kinds of boxes and other misc. 11xxx miles!!!! Years of stacking caused the small scratches you see all over the tins. I acquired this bike as a project. The tires are old but I believe the front is original. Went through the normal procedures bringing it back to life. Fresh fluids clean carbs adjusted valves new battery. Went thru the brakes. It runs rides and stops. However the motor has a tick or a light knock. I repeat #######THE ENGINE RUNS BUT MAKES NOISE#######.That being said this is overall a very rare and very attractive bike that is sought after. This would be a great display bike in a museum or a cafe restaurant etc. Or go through the motor and have an awesome cruiser. I would but my projects are stacking up. Gotta make room.
