1982 YAMAHA YJ 650 MAXIM Only 13,000 MILES!!! Clean Great Vintage Cruiser Bike!!

Selling to the high bidder a nice vintage 1982 Yamaha 650 Maxim. Yamaha a great reliable bike to get on and enjoy with out trouble. Well known for the 650 Special's then they came out with the Maxim series that really had taken over the cruiser seen at the time. Made Honda's head spin. Great affordable good looking bikes. They were the first motorcycles that kinda started the so called Harley look for the Asian bikes. Reasonable great on gas and super reliable these left all the other Asian builders in the dust. These are now becoming collectible. This is a nice bike that has been stored for many years. I bought for my son as his first bike but it has continued to set as he works on trying to get a business up and running so we talked and decided to let it go so someone can tinker with it and enjoy it. This bike came from an estate.. It has sat for a few years which in turn means that the gas will need cleaned from the tank and fuel system. Front brake is also in need of attention. Otherwise your looking at a nice bike with tons of potential. Only a little of 13 thousand miles. Nothing at all for this engine. The seat chrome and paint all look great. Not new but nice considering the age. Bike has always been stored properly and you can tell. Never dropped or wrecked. So far we put a new starter on the bike. New plugs in it and a new battery. Just did not get to the fuel aspect of it as of yet. What we did do was take a gas can and fired the bike of the fresh gas. Bike sounded good. But should have all the gas cleaned out and carbs gone thru to make this real nice. Well worth the time. This bike is worth it and time is something me and my son just don't have and do not want to leave the bike laying around. Someone can have fun with it. Great potential.
