1974 Yamaha DT250 Street Legal Vintage 2 Stroke Motorcycle

Hello everyone this is my 1974 DT250 which I purchased in stock form from the original owner in 2008 with around 4000 miles on the odometer. It is still running with the factory piston on the original cylinder bore. The motor has never been opened and using the factory points and condenser.The hornheadlighttail lightbrake lightspeedometertachometeroil injection system all perform flawlessly .I have made the following modifications 34mm Mikuni CarburetorBoyesen carbon fiber reedsK&N air filterreplaced wheel bearingsdigital handlebar mounted motor temperature gauge geared up for a higher top speed with new front and rear sprockets complete with gold o ring chain I was lucky enough to find the holy grail of exhaust for these bikes....A Bassani -complete with silencer! Flows and sounds great performs even better...I had plans on freshening up the top end and performing a mild port job etc.......But not until it was needed I have rode this bike over the last 7 years and it has never let me down (over 5000 miles) so that being said I never have had a reason to open up the motor.It starts on the first/second kick and idles anytime your off the throttle.I have been ridding this bike on a 50 mile round trip commute with top speeds over 80 but comfortable cruising around 50-60. As you will notice in the photos the Bassani exhaust expansion chamber did develop a crack recentlyI applied some high temp silicon to seal the leak functional but could also be fixed by an aluminum weld. The pipe also under the seat fell victim to a leaky battery that sprinkled acid over winter storage did not cause any structural damage only blemished the chrome. The wiring for turn signals is present and complete but I have never used them...I preferred a cleaner look and using hand signals:-).... The motorcycle has a clean NC title and is currently registered and tagged. Although I can attest to the amazing condition of this motorcycle it is being sold as is with no warranty implied. I am open for a serious buyer to come and view the bike and test ride as long as agreed amount of cash is in my hand.
