Meet Elvira. I picked her up last year for 1300 bucks. Knew when I looked at her I'd spend a couple grand to get everything sorted out... So, or starters, took it to Griffin motorsports who did 2200.00 worth of work, his included rebuilding the front forks with yamaha progressive rate springs, o they are no longer air forks, hich is awesome. I got newer shocks off a 1999 which were nice and shiney. New front tire, ew rear tire, ew front and back brakes, any gaskets because she was leaking everywhere. Then came the electrical gremlins, ew stator, ew voltage regulator, ew battery (very expensive battery). Have receipts for all this, hen I did other stuff, t had you'll see in one picture mirrors that came out the end of the handlebars, didn't like these so ordered factory mirrors. Put on a windshield, ought all new bags, runk, ork, nd saddle though only the new trunk bag is coming with it, 'm putting the fork and saddlebags on my Harley.
I put a 1000 miles riding last year, hen I started getting weird blinker behavior, ot a use blinker hazard relay you see in pic, hat wasn't the problem, tarted pulling all the lights apart and found the guts were all rusted out, ires were rotten, tc. Bought lights off ebay and took the nice shiney guts out and replaced all the running lights and blinkers. All was good. Took it to a buddy's house to sync the carbs, urned out they weren't that bad out of sync. So on the way back from his house, lutch started slipping. So I replaced the clutch with an 8 disc kevlar wet clutch assembly, asy job actually. And then put almost 2000 more miles on her last year, an good.
So this year, decide to replace the rusted out front pipe with a shiney one I got from a buddy for 80 bucks, anted to get the valves adjusted, nd the carbs rebuilt, nowing they had never been done. But, nfortunately the carbs were crap, nd the rebuild didn't go so well. He wanted to spend more time trying to get the old crap carbs going. I said stop, ought a newly rebuilt set of carbs from a VERY reputable man who guarantees them, hey looked like brand new, 25 bucks. When I got her back, he ran better than she ever has! As of right now I have 4795.00 invested in this bike, ut as much as I love Viragos, found a deal on a Harley this year I could not pass up. Hate to see Elvira go. I know I'll never get near what I have in her, ut my loss is your gain, don't have room for two bikes.
Other things I've had to put on, ew battery box because first shop broke off a tab which held the side cover, hich flew off while they were test riding it. So I had to buy another, nd another side cover. They knocked some money off the bill on that. The sissybar bag that comes with it was 120, merican Rider Brand, ery nice. I also did the baffle delete, ame out looking and sounding very nice.
She's inspected, n the road until I transfer the plate to the Harley I just bought. I've always loved Viragos, nd didn't think I could afford the maintenance on a Harley. If you know these bikes you'll see I've replaced nearly everything that ever goes wrong with them. There are many little things I haven't even mentioned here, ike the fork caps were rotten, eplaced with new. I also did a fresh oil change and filter right before I took it to the shop to get the pipe, alves, nd carbs done.

Bike sold as is, here is, o shipping, o returns, o warranty.NOTE: She's also listed for sale locally, o this ad may go away at any time.
