Description

This bike is a custombuilt resto-mod supermoto based on a 1981 Yamaha IT465. Asyou can see, t remains close to stock in appearance. It is Oregon plated, ags are good thru 2016. Clean title. Runs perfectly. The bike is extensively tested and well-sorted. It's a blast to ride.
The bike was built in 2008 and ridden only occasionally since then. Features Excel Takasago rims with Buchanan spokes. NewContiAttacktires last summer, arely 200 miles on them. The side plastics, ear fender, nd tank are all stock and in very good shape. The front fender is the only aftermarket piece, tock fender is included. The gorgeous stainless steel exhaust was completely handmade by Poor Bastard Cycle in Portland, t features over 40 sections.
Rides great on Race Tech fork springs and a fully rebuilt rear shock by localexperts at Toxic Suspension. The "Yamaha Energy Induction System," aka the "boost bottle" system, s in place and works! The brakes were done by Ott's Friction, hey are high-friction shoes arched to the drums -- they stop strong. The motor has a super-strong Wiseco forged piston and is in great shape, ons of compression and no rattles whatsoever. It's seriously powerful; sometimes hard to keep the front wheel down in the first three gears. You won't see another bike like this on the road, hat's for sure.
Other features are the Baja Designs kit with lights, ED turn signals, nd horn. The frame has been powder-coated red. The red/white color scheme is very rare for the IT465 (most were blue/yellow). The bike has Pro Taper handlebars, ith newer cables (clutch, rake, hrottle), nd custom made aluminum handguards. The bike also has tapered-roller steering head bearings from All Balls Racing, nd all new swingarm bearings. The chain and sprockets are also newer.
There are no instruments on the bike, o mileage is unknown, ut given the condition, ikely pretty low.
The bike has even had a magazine article written about it on MotoUSA.com, ust look up "The RetroMotard, Creation Tale." The article has more details on the build and background of the bike.
The bike comes with an extra wheel set with knobbies, pare original exhaust, nd tons of other parts, ncluding enough spares for another motor.
