I bought this brand new off the showroom floor with zero miles. I am the original owner. Stored in garage while TDY. Just started riding it when I go back in Nov 2014. Only 1282 miles as of this past Sunday when I took the attached photos. This was my first attempt at "cruiser" style bikes and I just can't wrap head (actually my lower back) around this style bike. I am going back to a sport touring bike (specifically a Honda ST1300). Last week, y son was in church camp two hours and 15 minutes from my house. Decided I would ride the bike up to see him on parent night and my back started hurting right at the 1 hour mark. Friday morning when I woke up, had to take two aspirins! How's that for honest salesmanship? I'm 6'1" and slump when I ride this bike. Maybe it's just my posture, ut I need the slight lean of a sport touring bike. I have added a "quick detach" batwing windshield and a "kind of" quick detach matching color hard bags (see pics). "Kind of quick" means, minute installation or removal of the hard bags because I back out hardware and then re-install hardware. The process is 2 minutes long because I take my time so as not to scratch the hard bag paint job. I LOVE riding "open wind" and that's how I ride around town/to work and anything 65mph or lower for short amounts of time. My mother is an hour away and I've ridden both with and without the windshield to see which is easier. The windshield does keep the wing off the body, ut my helmet does feel some buffeting because I am tall. I have a mechanical cruise control that has not been installed on the bike and it will come with the bike for you to install if you want it. On the parent night trip, he bike got 46 mpg.
Three things:
1. I used to ride a Honda ST1100. Bought with Zero miles and sold with 84,000 (thousand) miles on it. I've had other bikes since, ut recently test rode the 1300 and it's the perfect fit for me. SO, would be willing to consider an all up even trade for a 2012 Honda ST1300 (stock and no customizing) with no more than 10K miles. OR even a three way trade if you know someone that would fit the equation. We can ride or trailer and meet halfway in the US and do the transaction that way or ship bikes. Whatever.
2. I work for an airline. You can buy the bike via this auction and I will fly you non-rev to my airport, ick you up, uy you lunch and you can ride your new bike back to your house. I've done this non-rev flight thing with 2 RV sales, truck and two cars. Works out great for both of us because it increases my market by allowing more peopleaccess to my auctionsthan just to those local pick up options and the flight gives non-locals the option to come get the bike at on the cost of gas to get back home. That way I get a more fair price and almost guaranteed sell and someone gets the bike. Non-rev means you fly to me on my airline when seats are available/empty. I will set it all up and we will be in literally constant communication so that you aren't "flying blind". For those of you that definitely want this option, lease eBay email me with a note and phone # so we can discuss this option.
I think I have covered everything. PLEASE ask questions. This is a very nice bike for those that like the cruiser style bike.
