This has been my daily rider for two years. I am religious with my maintenance and oil changes. I have all the original/stock parts for this bike (except the seat, hich was torn when I purchased it).
Starts first kick cold. Starter is perfect too.
Top end rebuilt at 15k original milage and have put ~2k on it since.
Upgrades I've made over the years:
-UNI pod filters (also will include K&L pod filters and the stock airboxes too)
-Avon Speedmaster front tire with less than 100 miles on it.
-Custom leather upholstered seat
-Full top end rebuild with receipts for all mikesXS replacement parts. Cylinders honed, alves & seats cut to spec by machine shop with receipt.
-Clutch rebuilt less than 100 miles ago. Trans is bulletproof and shifts like butter.
-Hughs Handbuilt master cylinder w/ stainless steel braided line
-Brand new AGM battery (1 month old w/receipt)
-Brand new MikesXS brake caliper w/ 4 month old pads
-Brand new cross drilled XSperformance brake rotor.
-4 month old drive chain
-Custom front fork brace.
-I clean my carbs at every other tune up. They've been (painstakingly) jetted perfectly for the shorter exhaust and pod filters. Also have original jets if you ever want to go back to stock setup.
-Frame is stock and unmodified.
-I liked the rusty look of these pipes, ut I have the original chrome headers w/ stock mufflers too if you don't dig the rusty look!-Toggle switch ignition - no key.
Titled to me and registered with current tags.
The bike needs NOTHING, ut can be considered a blank canvas for those who might want to change the setup.
The only reason I am selling is because I just bought another XS650 and I don't have time to ride and maintain two bikes.
Easy to ride, asy to work on, ast bike with a great learning curve...It's my favorite engine out there. A lot of love has been put into this bike (the rust is intentional!)
