RARE 1967 YAMAHA YL2-C UN-RESTORED MOSTLY ORIGINAL, EFRESHED TOP END, ITLED
Up for auction is one of the greatest "Off- road" bikes ever offered by Yamaha, must for rough riding enthusiasts.
The Trailmaster 100 (Yl2-C) has a 100 CC rotary jet single to go with, hen the going gets rough. Electric start, uel injection syste, ull trail gears, eavy duty engine guard plate, park arrestor, uick change dual sprockets for trail or street, position adjustable rear shocks, learance 8.7 inches, ugged 4 speed gear box, 8 inch wheels and a rotary valve, evelops 8 hp and 9.5 hp at 8000 rpms. It has a luggage rack and a tool kit that are standard equipment.
This Yamaha belongs in a museum or a collector show room "It's that nice". Its looks like it just came off the show window floor (with only 4,069 miles). When I purchased the bike from the original owner several years ago he told me that it didn't run. It had compression, as and spark but all it would do is pop. It's been in storage since then. It's too nice a bike to be left hidden away.
The Yamaha motorcycle has matching frame and motor numbers.
I replaced the rotary valve, nstalled a new Yamaha cylinder, iston, ings and wrist pins /clips. installed two new rubber footrests, eplaced the drive chain and battery.
The bike runs like new. The bike has only a few miles on it since the rebuild job. When it started it was leaking 2 cycle oil out the bottom. I found the clear plastic line from the oil pump to the engine had a crack in it. I cap off the line and is now running a mixture (16/1) from the tank. It's better this way during the brake-in period.
I found that the filter for the gas shut off valve was missing. I replaced the valve with one I had in stock. The old one will go with the bike. The enrichment (choke) valve control arm is broken but is working fine. There is a "owie" in the cover for the oil pump/carburetor. Only one of the rubber fork boots is original. There are a few scrapes dents and touch up spots. I put many extra pictures in ebay so look closely, hey will tell the story.
The bike has clear title in my name and was licensed for the road at one time. The bike is sold "as is" and with no warranty implied. The bike can be picked up or inspected in Spokane, ashington. I've tried to describe the motorcycle through the pictures and written description as best as I could but I may have missed something so please ask those questions, r call me (509) 710-0250.
