INCREDIBLE condition.... 2003 Yamaha FZ1, 000 cc, 3,190+ miles, hey'll go up as I'm still riding it. NY Inspection till June/July next year.
This is the limited black and yellow paint job, the Bee). Not many of these around, SPECIALLY in this condition! Never crashed, ever thrashed. I've topped her out at 120.... but I'm an old man, nd don't need to break any land speed records. I know she'll easily do 110 in 2nd, nd will pull the front up if you don't watch the throttle hand.
Plasti-dipped a couple pieces that in my opinion shouldn't have been silver, t'll peel right off. Have a tank bra, tock Yamaha pipe, Yoshi tri-oval slip on, nd just put a Coffmans shorty on. Has Yamaha GYTR carbon fiber triple clamp/gauge cluster covers, GYTR smoked windscreen-taller than stock for wind protection, YTR billet aluminum handlebar mounts-lower the bars 1" for a more aggressive riding position and frame savers. Took the rear pegs off-they are available, DON'T do double, lus with the Coffman shorty on, ou don't need the exhaust bracket. Have a couple videos of the bike with the new Coffman pipe... email for them.
Anyone NOT familiar with the FZ1, t's pretty much a mildly tamed R1....
Everyday Comfort Coupled with Razor Sharp Handling and Open Class Power... derived from the legendary R1, he 2003 Yamaha FZ1 packs a huge amount of horsepower (140+) and torque into a chassis that handles like a superbike yet is comfortable enough to ride all day long. For the rider who likes sport bike performance but prefers more comfortable ergonomics. The FZ1 offers a more traditional upright seating position, yet sacrifices nothing in terms of engine and handling performance.
MOTORCYCLIST magazine....
In yet another display of magnanimity and the necessity to be a player in the growing naked street-stomper market, amaha flew the world motopress to southern Spain in February to sample its new "R1 for the real world," the much-anticipated FZ1. By the end of the weekend orgy of fine food and drink, ver-the-top accommodations, nd enough rubber smoke to mask the movements of several aircraft-carrier armadas, Yamaha's PR machine had us nodding in agreement: Yes, he FZ1 really is an R1 for the masses, articularly those masses that have never sampled an R1.
She's been adult ridden and never put down, ever raced, ever wheelied. I know of FZ1's with 69,000+, 9,000+, nd even up and over 100,000! Have a couple sound clips of the Yoshi and Coffmans pipes, sk for them, 'll send them. Look at pictures and please ask any questions before bidding.
Had a bunch of comments on the condition, couple about the price. I have $4000 into the bike, lmost another grand into the pipes.
I'm getting too old to go this fast, o bike is for sale/trade locally where I'm looking for either an EXTREMELY CLEAN XR650L or Zephyr 1100, o auction may end at anytime,
