Yamaha YG1

The Yamaha YG1 80 was Yamaha's first comercially successful motorcycle. First marketed in Japan as an "Executive Motorcycle"The YG1 was technologically advanced for it's day. It was the first production motorcycle to have oil injection. It was also the first motorcycle to use a VM style Mikuni carburetor with a cable operated starting carburetor. These 2 advanced made the bike easier to start and more reliable. The engine is a 75cc rotary valve 2 stroke that was considered fast at the time. Also got road and track bestinnovation on oil injectio, his is ware the oil injection was started. So if you own something that is oil injected like a jet ski or snowmobile you can thank Yamahe fortheirinvention . So there a littlelittle history on a hard to find motorcycle
So here my story I had this bike for many many years and I have taken care of it - it was never abused - it runs and drives great and everything works- Except for the choke . The cable broke and i never replaced it but I have the OEMreplacement cable and it's yours if you buy i, never need the choke to start it so it was never an issue for m, lso the the gas tank was starting to rust so I had it coated in side so itwouldn'trus, here small dent in the LH side of the tank. I would rate the bike as 85 out of 100. As you can see it's not perfect but you can also see from the pictures it's not junk and in very good condition . It would be an easy restoration project for someone who wanted to make it 100%. Also you can see my buy it now price is lower then what anyone else is asking for the same bike. I just want it to go to a good home
