1970's Yamaha RD400 drag bike - one of a kind vintage racer - this motorcycle was rescued from a garage in Las Vegas scheduled for demolition - actively raced in the late '70's early 80's - now a real time capsule of old school technology. Original motor not running, as completely rebuilt ready to go - new top end with Wisecopistons, ew battery, ebuilt 28mm carbs, ottom end checked and refreshed with new seals/bearings. Disc brakes all around, ice custom paint job has weathered the years and gives the bike a strictly business attitude. *Clean Utah Title*
This bike is very authentic including the resin under the rear fender from burn-outs at the strip - comes with some of the original parts that would help make it a sweet street-going cafe racer or custom if desired. Features are: Martek ignition, G swing arm, oomey expansion chambers,wheelee bars, nd Bosch ignition coils. Runs well starts first/second kick - will need better jetting when it arrives at it's new home. A great functional conversation piece and genuinely unique motorcycle that draws attention wherever it goes with the added street potential.
Along with some original parts to make street legal, am including 2 motors one of which is a RD350 very complete without carbs that will need pistons and a spare race RD400 engine also fairly complete but needs complete rebuild. Also comes with extra exhaust set, ear stock fender and nice front wheel.
This motorcycle is sold in as-is condition only - we cannot offer any warranty or guarantee - no returns. Bike will need air cleaners, as scratch on front fender, nd comes with some extra engine parts. RD stuff is getting harder to find.
