Rare 1972 Yamaha RT2 MX360 1st Year Factory MX 360 ARHMA RT 1, Not Enduro

Very nice garage find,1972 Yamaha RT2 360MX which I believe is the first year ofthe factory offered mxmodel. Engine and frame # match . The tank was clean so I cleaned the carb(wasn't dirty) added some fresh pre mix and it fired right up, dled wel, lutch worked well,shifted through all the gears, nd braked properly. The engine seemed down on power so I ran a compression test and it only had 90psi so it will likely require a re ring ortop end job. The prior owner said it was on the 3rd over bore ( .75mm) and there is a box of parts included that has a 4th over(1mm) Yamaha NOSpiston and ring set andthe original clutch side cover ( the one on the bike isa newer version that has been cut down for easy access to countershaft sprocket). The bike is very solid for a vintage mx'e, he bearings and bushings in the wheel, oot pegs, ick starter, teering hea, xels all feel great. The seat looks orig and in very good shape, ooks to have orig paint and graphics but there are some small dings in tank and sticker damage, lso some paint loss on fenders but no cracks thatI can see. The bike looks mostly orig except handle bars thatare anice after market and an aluminum silencer ( do not have the originals).
