1976 YAMAHA YZ125 OW REPLICA/WATERCOOLED/AHRMA/VINTAGE MOTOCROSS/BOB HANNAH/DG

ATTENTION VINTAGE MOTOCROSS COLLECTORS!!!!! if your looking for something different for your collection i am selling this 76 yz125 watercooled ow replica.the bike was built from a heavily modified 76 yz125 thst i was told was a dg team bike with the intention of trying to make it look like a factory ow125 like bob hannah rode to a championship in his first year with yamaha.the frame has a tons of mods including bracing and gussets for added strength and also a full skid plate,the work was professionally done in the 70s.forks have a trick-it fork kit for more travel and has gorki air caps, he shock was modified by white brothers back in the seventies and was rebuilt when i built the bike about 7 years ago.a 74 style yz tank was used and features a joe abbate paint job with hand made straps and pads.very rare ow style front fender extention.period correct dg pipe with custom heat shield,new stainless bucannon spokes,new tires,new custom seat cover.the head is a super rare dg prototype head that was built by famous dg wrench harry klemm.this very head was featured in a motocross action magazine article in the june 76 issue.harry told me dg was going to market them but never did.it is the only one he ever built.i matched it up with an 81 yz125 radiator with a hand made front plate and brackets.shinobi built kits like this back in the mid 70s and they used no pumps but worked very well at cooling the head.motor was rebuilt but never run.period correct opaque side panels,very rare stock chrome yz bars and lots more.this bike and two others of mine were featured in a 5 page article in VMX magazine issue 47.it was also displayed with the legends and heros at the new york supercross in 2014 and people loved it.....the bike has never been started and is considered a 'SHOW BIKE'............i am also selling the other two bikes in the article if you have interest...........i reserve the right to end this auction at anytime as the bike is also for sale locally.........buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements.....message me with any questions...........PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER AUCTIONS ON EBAY!!!!

just added a few new photos,the last two shots are of elsinores i have built over the years .sold two elsinores to the munginast dirt bike museum in st louis,the 74 cr250 was also on display at the ama museum in ohio and the other 74 cr125 i sold last year is setting in the new owners kitchen!!!just letting everyone know that my bikes are very high end builds and i am doing things that you dont see everyday in the vintage motocross world.i have over 35 years experience building rare mx bikes and have raced for 40 years and im still racing old mx bikes.most of my bikes have ended up in dealership show rooms,museums,offices and man caves!!!!this yz125 im selling was built years ago and is part of my own collection that i have now decided to sell of to make room for new projects.it has all stainless steel allen head hardware,a museum quality paint job and would be the star of your collection.i will be listing the other bikes soon,thank you,please email with any qustions
