Absolutely beautiful 1981 Yamaha Seca 550 (XJ550RH) in a rare one year only Pearl White with factory mini-fairing! Only 8k miles with the original warranty card and owners manual from the first owner. Yes it's a one owner bike! We see this as a nice bike for a beginning collector or for someone who just likes riding a very nice piece of history. All factory except parts replaced due to aging such as new Michelin tires. chain and sprocket. fuel petcock o-rings etc (more details below).  All it needs is a new owner to love it. care for it. and ride it. Mechanicals: The bike is very fun to ride and we just love to ride it.  The transmission shifts very nicely and the engine is solid. Inside of the fuel tank is in nice shape. The bike is very complete and is configured as it was built. We?ˆ™ve made sure it?ˆ™s road ready with only very high quality replacement parts being used.  The following items have been replaced or repaired;

Cosmetics: Very clean in general and exceptionally clean under the seat in the frame area. The bike has new factory matched paint on the fuel tank and side covers along with new factory correct decals. Very nice over all.  There are a few light scuffs/scratches on the mufflers as well as a spot on the right pipe just below the engine that has lost a bit of shine (see pictures).  The fairing is missing a couple of the plastic screws and has a small blemish on one side (again please see pictures). The plastic screws are very difficult to find so we considered replacing all of them with chrome screws but decided to leave the choice of style to the new owner. It even has the original Yamaha zippered document pouch that snaps in place in the rear cowl.

We put a lot of effort into this XJ550RH Seca to bring it to something that represents how it was built and yet have it be able to be ridden. We always say "Ride it don?ˆ™t hide it!?ˆ? Given the rarity of the bike we thought it deserved to be represented in its original form and didn?ˆ™t see it being modified as a bobber or caf?© bike. It deserves to be as it was built.

Please note that while the bike is in excellent shape it is a 30+ year old bike that still has a lot of 30+ year old parts. That is to say it?ˆ™s much like owning a vintage car. It is not new and may have things that need attention over time. Deposit - A $300 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is required immediately at close of auction. The balance can be paid via cash. PayPal. nbsp;or verifiable certified bank check. There will be a 7 business day period before the bike can be picked up if paid by bank check.
