The owner invested over $40,000.00 to build this unique special type of superbike starting with a standard vmax 1200,shaft drive bike which had many performance features in its day, ut was challenged in handling qualities due to the shaft drive and the tires as fitted. The first mod was to eliminate the pogo stick effect of the shaft by converting to chain drive. Acustom built swing arm was created(a work of art to be seen) and the rear shocks were upgraded to adjustable pro racer shocks.The theme for handling moved to the front suspension which now carries the complete front forks,wheel,brakes from a gsxr1000 fitted to the oem frame with billet milled fork yokes.The weight savings of 60 lbs dropped the vmax to 560lbs with fuel, oad ready, hile lowering the center of gravity with low profile rubber.Then the engine was enlarged and race tuned by a shop that earned their reputation on the Pro Drag circuit, full Vance and Hines exhaust system with carbon fibre mufflers was fitted to raise the power about 50 horses at rear whee, near 200 at crankshaft(see Dyno sheet).
The owner had fitted a custom lowered seat and factory back rest with luggage rack as well.
A very tractable,comfortable superbike in cruiser disguise, ruly unique.
