1978 Yamaha XS750SE Special Runs Great in Mint Condition

The time has come for me to part with what has been my favorite motorcycle. I bought this one from a seller who onlyownedit for a short time, s the engine had seized and he didn't want to fix it. It had been kept in a garage under cover and looked pretty nice when I got it. Thinking it would only need a top end overhaul, disassembled it only to find that the main and rod bearings had seized onto the crankshaft. This is caused by what is called "gasoil", rankcase oil that has been diluted by leaking vacuum petcocks. The petcocks have beenreplaced with manual ones from MikesXS. I did a YouTube video on this bike last summer, earch YouTube for 1978 Yamaha XS750SE Special . I ended up completely disassembling the engine and rebuilding it. The bike had 16,500 miles on it when I got it. I've included photos of the rebuild. I also did the bodywork on the tank and painted it and the side covers with PPG basecoat/clear coat in the exact same color as stock, lack Gold. The inside of the tank was lined with Por15, eat has a Saddlemen cover.Tires are Bridgestone Battlax BT45's. Lots of NOS parts were used in the rebuild, was lucky to find a complete left side exhaust in NOS condition. The rear rack that is shown in the video comes with the bike. New fork seals, ork oil, il and filter changed every 3000 miles, tc. This bike is in pristine condition both physically and mechanically. I am a retired A&P mechanic, nd have been buying/restoring/repairing/riding and selling motorcycles for 50 years now. This bike only uses a small amount of oil, oesn't smoke, oesn't leak, nd runs like brand new, ast and smooth.NADA pricing on these is $4060 (excellent), 2380 (very good) and $1380 (good). I believe I have priced it according to its condition.
