1972 Yamaha JT2MX (JT1) NO RESERVE

You are looking at a 1972 Yamaha JT2MX that has been 80% restored by me and my family. We bought it several years back in boxes and spent the last few years restoring and riding it. Every family member learned to ride on this bike, o the restoration was focused on function first. It is a 60cc 4-speed with a clutch and large enough for adults due to the 15" wheels and upgraded suspension. Top speed is likely well over 40 mph! This is not the standard yellow for the MX model, ut the kids really wanted red. It is close to the standard JT1 red. These bikes are really HOT right now and there is still enough restoration left to make a decent profit on this one (or keep it and ride it and relive your childhood). As we have done so much work on this bike, will try to cover the highlights that I can remember. It is safe to assume everything has been upgraded, estored, tc to some point.
Work done/items replaced:

• Engine rebuilt
• Forks rechromed and rebuilt
• New tubes and tires
• New clutch, hrottle, il & brake cables
• Second fork spring added (these bikes originally had only a spring in one fork)
• GT80 Shocks installed
• Seat recovered
• Bodywork, ir cleaner, hain cover painted
• New brake shoes
• Repaired exhaust
• New grips
• Electronic ignition from PW50 (all original parts included to return to stock)
• New levers
• New number plate

Items still needing work:

• Paint frame, wingarm, oot controls, ickstand & triple trees.
• Line tank (I de-rusted it once, ut it came back quickly)
• Polish wheel hubs

This is a really cool little bike and I will be sad to see it go. It got lots of attention anytime we were out riding, ut the family has moved on to bigger, ewer bikes and it is shameful to just let this one sit any longer.
