2007 Yamaha FZ-6 -- 600cc 4 cylinder Motorcycle/Sportbike -- 32,704 Miles
44 HD PICTURES BELOW - please excuse how dusty/dirty the bike is - it has been sitting in the garage all winter!
This listing is for my 2007 Yamaha FZ-6. I hate to see it go but unfortunately am selling it due to a fellow riding friend having an accident. He is doing just fine now (thanks to wearing the proper gear) but I no longer want to have this temptation in my garage due to fear of an accident.
Please read the entire listing before sending me questions as it is probably answered within the information below. I will respond to any questions other than those found answered below as quickly as possible. (I am in graduate school and work full time so I don't have much free time!)
About the bike:
• Purchased last year - May, 015 with 29,811 miles on it.
• Clean and clear Kentucky title in hand -- no liens -- ready to be transferred.
• The bike starts, uns and rides just like it should -- you'd never know it had 32,000 miles on it by the way it rides
The good:
• Motor starts and runs perfectly, akes no odd noises and has plenty of power -- runs great throughout the entire RPM band
• Transmission is smooth and shifts as it should, o odd noises here either
• Oil and filter last changed 1,000 miles ago using Mobil1 full-synthetic motorcycle oil (designed for bikes with wet clutches, such as this FZ-6) (Purolator PureOne filter - high-capacity, igh efficiency)
• Bike has always been garage kept -- never left parked outside for long periods of time or driven in the rain
• New ceramic brake pads front and rear. (bike stops quickly and smoothly)
• No check engine or warning lights of any kind ever since I've owned it
• New Michelin rear tire (about 1,000 miles on it -- mounted, alanced and chain adjusted by Yamaha of Louisville)
• Passed full mechanical inspection by Yamaha of Louisville (1,000 miles ago)
• New handlebar grips
• Front and rear amber LED turn signals w/ LED specific flasher to prevent fast flash
• High power white LED strips on frame above rear tire (wired to turn on/off with bike's ignition)(These substantially increase visibility of the bike to other drivers at night)
• Low power blue LEDs inside front faring (gives the front faring and engine a blue glow - wired to turn/off on with bike's ignition)
The bad:
• Bike has fallen over twice, ut never laid down or wrecked while moving -- only minor damage to plastics occurred but everything is still secure and there are no rattles while riding (was not moving at all either time this occurred -- once in the garage, eft side & once on the street in front of my driveway, ight side -- please see pictures towards bottom)(It's very hard to tell that the bike has any cosmetic issues at all from more than 10ft away)
• Clutch grabs near end of lever release (clutch is strong and has never slipped, amaha of Louisville advised a cable-adjustment but it will probably need a new one within the next few thousand miles or so)
• Right side turn signal works intermittently due to wiring issue (the led lights over the back wheel usually flash with right turn signal for some reason, iring issue, assume)
• Anything over 95MPH there is a slight vibration from the front wheel (bike rides perfectly smooth up to this speed -- it has done this since I've owned it -- dealer said it probably just needs to be balanced -- tire is a Continental with about 65% life left)
• One of the previous owners cut out the bottom of the muffler but this cannot be seen unless you really stick your head under there (the bike is somewhat loud but not raspy or obnoxious and sounds great - it still has the catalytic converter in place)
• The ignition lock cylinder can be slightly tricky at times (you may have to jiggle the key for a second or two if it does not turn - probably just needs to be lubed - it has never not failed to turn on or off for me)
• The windscreen is missing a few bolts (see picture -- this has caused some minor wear on the faring about 1-2 square inches behind the windscreen -- new 5mm bolts can be bought at any auto parts store -- with a new tinted or black windscreen you won't even be able to see the worn spot)
I've done my best to mention every positive and negative aspect of this bike. If you have any additional questions, ust ask.
The bike is sold AS-IS. I am an honest seller and have truly mentioned everything that is wrong with the bike that I've noticed since I've owned it.
It has never failed to start or ride just like it should since I've owned it and I'd expect it would be just as reliable for its new owner.
If you want to see the bike let me know and we can set it up. I will let you test-ride the bike only if you are a serious buyer, o joy rides.

Please no texts or calls with low-ball offers or asking for the lowest price I will go -- these bikes are easily doing $3,000-3,800 with similar year and miles -- I have taken the condition of this one into account with my asking price.
