Description
Let start out by saying that anything can be restored but they are only original one time and original condition bikes and cars are the pinnacle of collecting right now. 1975 Yamaha RD350, RIGINAL CONDITION, IANT KILLER. This little TWIN 2-STROKE 350cc rocket ship was the baddest thing on the street for it time and size back in the day and still quite fast today, aster than my Honda CB750. Lightweight and nimble probably one of the most legendary bikes produced and still has a cult following today. If you have ridden one of these bikes then you know what I am talking about, ust a blast to ride and most of them were run to death and highly modified and then discarded. I looked for almost 25 years to find this clean of an original example for my collection. I purchased this bike out a air plane hangar in Nevada. The previous owner was a bit of eccentric and he wanted to save the original tires that came on the bike so he purchased another set of rims and hubs from the Yamaha dealer and had them laced up and street tires installed so that he could ride the bike on the street and have a better feel, r so he told me. He stored the original tires and rims and when I purchased the bik, hese ORIGINAL tires and rims came with t he bike and so they will travel with to the new owner as well. I have included a picture of these wheels, s you can see the spokes are little rusted but the rims are in good shape and the tires, ell what can I say about the tires, hey are the original tires that came with the bike. Please look at all of the pictures as I tried to shoot the bike from all angles. I am not saying that the bike is in mint condition but it is the NICEST CLEANEST ORIGINAL RD350 that I have ever seen. Here are the items that I find less than mint. There is a small ripple in the rear side of the front fender, have marked it in one of the pics. There is a small spot on the left side muffler where it looks like the riders shoe rubbed on the pipe and it is not as shiny as the rest of the pipe. There is also a small blemish on the rear fender, n the right side, hat looks like something ran down the fender for about 2 - 3 inches and made the chrome a little dull. This is very hard to see but I took a close up pic of this area, lease look. Last thing that I know of is the small crease on the back of the seat. It is not a tear and it is not through the cover, t is simply a small fold in the seat cover that has made a mark in the cover. That is all the bad that I can say about this 41 year old time capsule of a bike. If you are a Yamaha collector, his little bike is a must. It has been on display in my showroom for the past 6 years. These are my personal bikes, hey do not belong to my company and I took price in always trying to find the cleanest original bikes that I could find. With only 3535 ORIGINAL miles, do not think that this would be a daily driver, his bike needs to be in a personal collection. If you need any further information about this bike or any other bike that I have for sale, lease do not hesitate to reach out. These are my personal bikes and do not belong to the company. There will be a $500.00 deposit required within 30 minutes of the end of the auction and then the balance will need to be paid for with Bank Wire of certified check. If a check is used then as soon as the check has cleared, he bike is yours, ash in person works as well. 903-509-2727, sk for Lyle.
