1977 Yamaha XS650 D Standard Model

This is a ground up restoration with a few modifications. All replacement components and parts which were used are NOS or OEM with exception to the handlebars, eat and mufflers.

The chassis and components were stripped and repainted using PPG primers and top coats. New brass swing arm bushings and tapered roller bearings in the steering head were installed. Rear shocks are new and the front forks were disassembled, nspected and rebuilt with new seals. The gas tank, ody panels and fenders are metallic silver with red pin striping. All paint products are PPG. The tank received a thorough cleaning, ew petcocks and cap. The side panels received new latches.

The wheels were disassembled, leaned, nspected and reassembled. They received new seals and were trued. Tires are new. Drive chain and sprockets were replaced. Front and rear brake pads replaced. Front master cylinder and caliper assemblies were rebuilt. Upper and lower hoses were replaced.

The electric wiring and components were inspected, ested and cleaned. New turn signals and all light bulbs were replaced. The speedo and tach were cleaned and lubricated. A new battery was installed.

The stock handle bars were replaced with Triumph Touring bars. The left side switch was replaced. The original right side switch was used with a new throttle tube. New grips were installed.

All cables are new.

The seat is caf? style with red piping detail and stitched pleating on a replica stock seat pan. The saddle height is approximately 4” lower than stock for that inseam challenged person.

The engine and transmission was disassembled, leaned and inspected. New seals and gaskets were used throughout. A new clutch throw out was installed. Valves were lapped. New cam chain, ront and rear tensioners were installed. Cylinders were honed and new standard rings installed. The starter motor was cleaned and works properly. New oil and air filters were installed. The mufflers are Dunstall replicas. The carbs were disassembled, leaned and rebuilt with new jets, eedles and diaphragms. Engine side covers were polished.

Approximately 23,750 miles are showing on the speedometer with less than 100 miles since the restoration was completed.

Pick up and/or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer along with all costs. I can assist with loading. I will crate for shipping for an additional $300.00. Your shipping company will be required to move once crated.
