Now for the good stuff..
Rest assured your bike will start dependably and not be down due to a failed igniter or pulsar coil at anytime(the latter being impossible to find). A Rex Speed Shop ignition system has been installed. Its dependable and always starts 1~2 kicks also, he lighting coil has been professionally redone. All the lights work as they should. A voltage regulator was added for additional protection. As with most injected models from the era the throttle cable is a 2 piece design. The lower cable is another problem area of the 360A. It is impossible to find. The plastic splitter tube will likely break or has already broke on most of the remaining bikes. A custom cable was made by Motion Pro which uses a metal splitter for many years of reliable use. The injection pump works as it should. The top end is standard bore, as de-carboned and re-ringed. The top end is tight with no piston rattle. There are no leaks and everything on this bike works as it was designed to do..
The gas tank..
There was minor rust when I bought the bike. The tank was cleaned with a popular cleaner and red kote was used to seal the tank however, everal pinholes opened up on the petcock side (typical). These holes were filled with very small sheetmetal screws used in the r/c model industry installed wet with aviation fuel tank sealer (PRC-1422B2)and a minimum fillet seal inside the tank. The tank has shown no evidence of leakage in over a year and based on my aviation maintenance experience, don't expect it to ever leak. The screws are unnoticeable and the tank does what its suppose to do..Hold fuel. I wanted to mention this as I feel its important but I would like to add that Ihave spent many years in commercial aircraft fuel tanks in my career and very familiar with tank sealants.
So there you have it..
This bike has been a delight toown but circumstances have changed and maybe time to move on. This bike is a terrific example of the bikes we all enjoyed back in the day. Its had all the TLC I could give it.Title is clear and in my name. Tagged for street use.Someone will have a great bike to enjoy for years to come..
