1983 Yamaha XJ900 Seca

You are bidding on a 1983 Yamaha XJ900 Seca. This bike was sold in the US one year only, ut was in production for at least 5 additional years throughout the rest of the world. I have owned this motorcycle for the last 3 years and have enjoyed bringing it back to its original appearance as well as doing a lot of riding on it. It currently has 41,456 miles on it. I just put 100 miles on it last Saturday. It really runs well and is a pleasure to ride. It has an original paint tank that has been sealed. The paint on the rest of the plastic wasn't in such good shape when I bought the bike so I matched it to the original tanks' candy red. I added the factory decals and cleared it. All aluminum has been polished. The bike has tires and brake pads with less than 1000 miles on them. Everything works as it should. All parts of the bike are as original parts. The bike had as standard equipment the following: Vented dual front disc brakes, ented rear disk brake, uarter fairing, ir front suspension, nti-dive front forks, uel guage, lock, peedo and tach, djustable handlebars, elf cancelling turn signals, iggy back rear shocks, nd shaft drive. I have added a voltage monitor between the handlebars and a power outlet below the speedometer. The fuel tank holds 5.8 gallons so the bike has quite a range. At some point in it's life it had a battery leak and damage the chrome on the right muffler. It now has a maintenance free sealed battery and all of the paint damage on the frame has been repaired. There are some scrapes along the lower part of the right muffler and one spot on the left muffler. These are shown in the pictures. There is also a crack in the windshield as is shown in the pictures. These are the only issues I know of with the bike. Everything else works as designed. As you can tell, his bike is ridden on a regular basis so there may be a couple of paint chips, ut none that are a distraction. There are no dents in the tank. This may not be the best 900 Seca in the country, ut you will look a long time before you find another as nice as this for sale
The motorcycle is sold as is, here is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is the buyers responsibility to arrange and pay for any shipping. I can assist your shipper with loading but no crating is possible. A $300 deposit by Paypal is due 48 hours after the auction ends. The balance is due within 7 days by cash on pickup or wire transfer. The motorcycle will not be released until funds clear. I have a clear NC title in my name.
