1978 IT175 REBUILT MOTOR WITH PINK SLIP AND CURRENT REGISTRATION

1978 IT 175 for sale. I just rebuilt the motor due to a leaky intake manifold. So the motor is basically new, till has the original bearings in the transmission but the mains are new as are all the crank bearings, iston, tc. Cylinder was freshly bored for the new piston. The intake manifold is also new, t's a reproduction and much more supple than the original OEM. I had this listed earlier with older pics so I am listing it now with more pics so you can see things up close. The seat has been recovered not a cheap seat cover, ery comfortable and the man did a great job on the seat. The lights are not on the bike and fair, ome surface rust and I can send pics if you need them. The rear fender never had the light holes drilled. I have the lights and brackets that you can put on if you like. I didn't need them rattling around across the desert. Bike has been ridden in the desert mainly it was a camp bike until I fell in love with the power band and gearing. I had one back in 1976 when they first came out and they were pipy and that didn't suit my riding style. This one has torque from the bottom which might have to do with the later model '78 or could be the gearing was changed before I bought it. It was a used bike for me when I got it and ran great. I am selling this bike to finance my '67 chevy 3/4 ton. Need some things for it so this has to go. Getting the truck ready for my son is my priority. If you need additional pics let me know. The only thing this bike needs is a new front fender. Otherwise a really neat bike. Also the rear bracket that the muffler bracket hangs on broke off the frame (before I got it) so I fixed up a solid rubber mounted hanger that works well. Air filter was replaced a couple of months back just before the motor went so it's basically new. Front tire is about 75% and rear tire has 1 ride. I have this bike listed locally and reserve the right to end this listing early.
