We are an RV dealer in the mountains of Western Maryland. You are looking at a non-RV that we took on trade towards an RV. It is a privately-owned unit that was traded in to our dealership - it is NOT something we bought at an auction, t is NOT a repo, t is NOT a salvage piece. We avoid items like those, or the same reason you do - you just don't know what you're getting. But if a customer wants to trade an item like this in, owards an RV purchase...well...equity is equity, nd if we think we can sell it, e'll take it on trade!
We hear it all the time - and this is another example. "You can't keep ALL those toys!" - so when it was time for an RV...the Royal Star had to get traded in. We got this motorcycle the other day, nd it's a nice, lean, ood-running bike. The factory paint looks great with no signs of ever being laid down, nd not even any boot scuffs on the saddlebag lids! All 3 bags are clean inside and out and the factory toolkit is still in the right hand bag. Under the topcase, here is an LED light bar that is a taillight, ut it doesn't seem to get brighter with brakes (which I thought was odd...but it may just be a marker light). There's a stereo on the left handlebar with a cassette deck (!) in the fairing, nd a headphone jack on the fuel tank - not familiar enough with Yamaha to know if that's factory or not, ut it's a nice enough setup and the 4 speakers sound great (we didn't get a headset with the bike). I love the speedometer - it reminds me of my '72 Plymouth! And the seating position is nice and comfortable, ith nice bar placement, oomy floorboards, nd a nice wind pocket behind the fairing. Mechanically, t runs nicely. Starts right up, he choke can be turned off pretty quickly...but it seems (to me, nyway) to be running a bit rich. I don't know if it had aftermarket pipes on it before it was traded in, ut it's all stock now and like I said, t smells just a bit rich. And, got a couple backfires on decel on my short ride - admittedly it was idling for a while while I took the photos, o it may have loaded up a bit and the pops were at the beginning of my ride so it may have cleared itself out as I rode, ecause I couldn't make it do it again. But...either a re-jet or a pipe change is easy enough, nd I always jet my bikes when I get them anyway, ust to make sure they're set up for ME, nd the way I ride, nd the area I ride in. I don't see that as a big deal at all. Power is good, t's smooth, nd it's TORQUEY - it feels like one of my big-CC twins! The shaft drive is quiet, nd the gearbox changes nicely with a good feeling clutch. Brakes are good, ires are good, nd transient handling is nice - not "tippy", ut not slow to turn in either. For a big ol' bagger, his Yamaha handles quite well! The only thing I noticed on my ride was some clunking in the front end. I did not check (or adjust) the air pressure so it could be a case of "no air", ut to me it sounded like my bikes would sound when it's time to adjust the neck bearings. Again though - I'm not super-familar with these Yamahas so I don't know all the "this noise equals that adjustment" equations like I do on my own bikes. Again though - the handling was nice and solid, o wander or wiggle, nd I didn't feel any play in the handlebars - it's just an over-bumps and into-dips sound as the forks compress and extend. I didn't see any signs of fluid leaks, ut with nearly 30k on the odometer...it may just be time for a fork service. Again - I'm not familiar with the Yamaha maintenance schedule, orry. My bikes (Showa forks), t's every 10k for the scheduled fluid changes... But that's the worst I could find on this one. Its a good-running, omfy, owerful, orquey cruiser that looks great. I really dig the color. It has just enough chrome on it, oo - it's not "too much", ut it's not boring looking either. And the storage space...those are nice-sized bags. If it were me, 'd add a rack to the top of the topcase for some extra luggage space...check the jets and the fork maintenance scheedule...and hit the road! I can see why these bikes have such a strong following!

Can I come see an item in person before I bid? SURE!! Our location is at the top of this ad - there's a link to us on Mapquest, ou can plot your directions right there. Just make sure when you get here, hat you ASK FOR JOE (THE EBAY GUY). Why do I need to ask for Joe? Because I'm the eBay guy! I write all these ads personally. I take all the photos personally. I go through all the units personally. I don't use website photos or canned descriptions - I walk through them and check them out for you with my own two eyes. All that takes time, nd effort - and let's face it, t's what got you interested in this item to begin with! If you have questions about this item...I've gone through it personally, nd I can answer all your questions because of it. Sure, here are other salespeople here - but we all get our pricing from the same managers, o talking to someone else in the hopes they'll come up with a lower price than you see here on eBay? It won't work (and that's a direct quote from the company owner), o ASK FOR JOE and you're going to get a great unit for a great price, rom someone who's gone through it personally and checked everything out for you so you know what you're getting for your money!! Ask for Joe - you get a great unit for a great price, get paid for all the hard work I do...everyone goes home happy! ?Can I buy it outside of eBay? I guess you could...but why? There are no surprise fees when you buy it here - for you, r for me. I pay my listing fees when I put an item online, nd there are no fees when they sell on eBay. And lastly, f I have to pull an item because of an off-eBay sale...it hurts my seller rating (eBay sees it as a "failure to fulfill an order"), o we try really hard not to do that. If you want to see it in person, ome out and see it...but ask for Joe and bring your smartphone so you can click that button on the lot. People do it all the time! When you do, ou get a great deal on an item...and I get paid for the work I did writing the ad! If you buy it from one of my coworkers...I don't get paid for all the work I did on the ad!! That doesn't save you any money...it just means THEY get paid, OT ME. Do you like getting paid for the work you do? So do I !!!!!!! So...BRING YOUR PHONE and be ready to CLICK THAT BUTTON!!
