1992 Yamaha WR 500 2-Stroke Rare!

For sale or trade is a 1992 Yamaha WR 500. There were very few of these bikes produced. It runs and rides great. It is surprisingly a good trail bike with excellent bottom-end power and air cooled reliability. It has a large 3.43 gallon fuel tank. FMF Fatty head pipe with stock USFS approved spark arrestor. Pro Taper Easton EA70 oversized bars take nearly all of the vibration away from your hands. Very fun bike. It has 62hp & 50tq stock. Bike is not perfect, t has some scratches, ut for almost 25 years old its been well kept and shows no signs of major issues at all. It could use a new rear tire and the front number plate is cracked, ut it only has cosmetic imperfections. Will consider trades, ust let me know what you have. Cars, wd truck, otorcycle, r atv. Factory Info:
The WR500 was introduced in 1991, illed as a 1992 model, nd was produced until late 1993. It was an updated version of the aged, ut venerable YZ490. The WR500 engine is the same mill that powered the YZ490, nchanged except for the ignition stator, 8mm round-slide Mikuni, ew combustion chamber, ipe and silencer. The ignition features a lighting coil (35-watt), ess advance (1.7mm from 2.0mm) and the same flywheel as the 490. Compression dropped from 6.9:1 to 6.64:1 to get rid of the pinging. Also, here is a new lower engine mount to cut vibration. Overall gearing is a tad taller (14/50), ut the internal ratios are unchanged from the YZ490.
Basically, he chassis is a '91 YZ250 unit, odified to accept the larger engine and strengthened to deal with the added power. Weight bias is different from the 250, nd the head angle is kicked out (from 27.5 to 28.15). Linkage rates are identical to the 250, ut the shock has different spring rate and valving. The WR500 is stiffer at both ends, nd the Deltabox swingarm is different also. It?s 20mm longer and has snail adjusters.
