For sale is my 1993 Yamaha Virago. The bike is rust free. It has never been damaged or dropped. It is equipped with a 5 speed transmission and a shaft drive unit. Gas mileage is consistently 49 mpg. I have owned this bike since 1999 when I purchased it from the original owner with 2,335 miles on it. It currently has just 6,013 miles on it. If you are wondering why it has such low mileage, s I imagine most of you are, n 2003 I had a work related back injury that left me unable to ride. I have always hoped to be able to ride again. Unfortunately the reality is that I will never be able to ride again and it is time to let it go.
When I was riding, did some tasteful upgrades to the bike to make it more safe, eliable, omfortable and user friendly for my wife and I. They are as follows:
- Yamaha clear ( no tint ) windshield
- Virago specific highway bar with fold up foot pegs
- Cobra light bar for better visibility ( has on / off switch )
- Mustang touring seat ( the stock seat always had you sliding forward )
- Virago 1100 backrest ( a direct replacement for the 750 grab bar )
- Mustang touring backrest pad
- Virago hard saddlebag supports
- Slant style saddlebags as to not interfere with the passengers heels
- Passenger foot peg extensions ( so your passenger isn't riding bowlegged )
- New complete OEM exhaust from Yamaha dealer ( previous owner drilled out the mufflers and cat to make the bike louder )
- New OEM air cleaner
- New OEM coils, ires and plugs
- Fresh Yamaha oil and filter when I purchased the bike
- Fresh Yamaha dope in the rear end & shaft drive unit
- New OEM regulator when I installed the Cobra light bar
- Yamaha oil and filter changed every 1,000 miles
- I debadged the tank and side covers ( meaning I removed the Virago stick on logos )
- All of the foot pegs have been switched to Kuryakyn alligator style
- I replaced the amber front and rear blinker lenses with clear lenses and amber bulbs. This is a much cleaner look in my opinion.
- I replaced the stock Virago master cylinder cover with a polished aluminum one that says Virago on it
- The stock rear view mirrors sat quite high, o I replaced them with a shorter set that looks exactly stock but compliments the lines of the bike better.
- I added a chrome license plate backer
- New OEM battery
- New Dunlap tires ( due to sidewall cracks from age and sitting around )
- Tires balanced
- Gas tank removed, leaned and fuel system flushed out
- Both carbs rebuilt with Yamaha rebuild kits
- New Yamaha needle and seat sets for both carbs
- New NGK spark plugs
As I will no longer be needing these items, will include them with the sale of the bike:
- Men's size 44 leather riding jacket. It has a removable liner and zippers on the front and back to allow air to flow through. Made in USA

- Men's HCI large half helmet - DOT approved ( matches the color scheme of the bike )

Buyer is 100% responsible for shipping arrangements. I will assist with shipping by taking the day off work the day the bike will be picked up. Of course you are always welcome to drive up with a friend or fly in and ride the bike home. It does get 49 miles to the gallon.
I am open to serious offers, ut please nothing insulting. I do realize the bike is older. In my opinion a classic. The condition and low miles warrant the higher price tag. This bike is for the person that wants an exceptional example of a vintage motorcycle.
