YAMAHA RD 350 LC SHOW PIECE RESTORED BIKE

This is a private sale for my Yamaha RD 350 LC. I am not a dealer or collector. I have owned this bike for 12 years and during that time I have sourced as many new old stock parts as I could find from various locations. plus the pick of the best parts coming in from Germany to restore it to the condition you see in the photos. The bike is a full UK spec machine. registered in my name with V5 and number plate. It is fitted with all genuine yamaha parts nothing pattern was ever used.  The restoration was largely complete in 2006 and for a few years following that I displayed it at a number of VJMC and other classic motorcycle shows in Northern Ireland. It won best Yamaha in 2008 at the VJMC show and since that due to young kids and family commitments the bikes lived in the dining room of my home. Since the bike was restored and engine rebuilt its never been started nor had fuel in the tank or 2 stroke oil in it although there is light gear oil in the gearbox clutch area. It was never my intention to use this bike it was built purely as a show bike. In saying that some fuel. 2 stroke. coolant and brake fluid and its good to go.  The bikes been indoors for 8 years so there is no corrosion and no smells or leaks of fuel and oil from it so would be ideally suited to a private indoor collection. If you are interested in a bike to ride around on this is probably not the bike for you unless you want to swap over new parts for used items. CDi. wiring loom. switch gears. tail light. twin horns. headlight chrome rims and back bowl. riders and passenger footrests. rear brake pedal. gear lever and linkage. clutch lever. clutch and throttle cables. front brake mastercylinder . front rubber brake hoses. fork bottoms. caliper pistons and seals. rear number plate holder. grab handle. sidestand. centre stand. fuel cock. clutch and ignition cover casings plus plastic oil pump cover and infill plastic covers to both sides. New o ring chain and genuine yamaha sprockets. . . . . . . . . . . Theres loads more which Ive forgotten over time as wellEngine - was rebuilt again using as much new old stock as was available and affordable at the time. barrells rebored and are on 0. 25 oversize fitted with genuine pistons. crank rebuilt with receipts available. new clutch plates and worm drive. all new genuine bearings. gaskets and seals used throughout. new water pump impeller. bearing. seal. cover. new gear selector shaft. reed block rubbers. carb parts etc etcTheres numerous other new smaller parts like brackets gromets and fixings like chain tensioners rear brake arm etc and all the bolts used were the old original type none of the newer type available lately with the raised edge. The frame and swing arm have been repainted in cellulose black gloss paint. nothings been powdercoated like most restorations are nowadays. Pro am belly pans included as well. Original yamaha toolkit is also there as well as all original star headed bolts for engine cases and correct lid for front brake mastercylinderThe bikes never going to be used by me and spends its life under a cover in the dining room. Ive other bikes in the garage so this might as well go to a collector who has the space and will appreciate this iconic 1980's classic.
