Yamaha R5F, early version of the RD350, like YR5

This Yamaha will make an excellent restoration project. It is an original machine with V5 log book and history.

Precursor to the RD350 - similar to the YR5.

The bike was in storage for several years (about 20!) before being dragged out from the cellar and got running again.

It had a top end rebuild with new small ends. gudgeon pins and gaskets and a new set of points.

It also had new genuine front brake shoes fitted - the old ones had seized.  The only non-original parts are the seat cover which also has a small tear in it. nbsp;and ignition switch which is a basic on/off toggle switch.

The lights work when the engine runs apart from the right indicators and the front brake light switch doesn't work.  The battery was totally dead and has been thrown out. but the bike runs off a spare battery supply.

The bike comes with it's original panniers and side boxes which are Craven make.  

This bike would make a good restoration project; It has no MoT and no tax (the last disc was in 1988). The tyres are holding air but are very old as well so it will need a trailer or van to collect.

The bike is sold as a project. no warranty is implied or given. Sorry for the legal guff but there are some numpties out there who need to be told.
