YAMAHA RD 350 B

Description

I bought this bike 5 years a go on ebay  as a project . t has had 4 owners  (I am the fourth ) and it has not been on the road since 1982 . it has matching frame and engine numbers the previous owner thought it might be a ham yam (Hamilton yamaha special ) I cant verify that . but it has had a lot of money spent on it in the past as it had been tuned . a fairing added . lip on expansions. ace bars burani alloy rims. rear sets. girling shocks. electronic ignition  single seat conversion etc I did find this image for a ham yam on google and it has the same spec by the look of it. It was in a very bad state ! the black and red pics were taken before restoration . he faring was smashed beyond repair and it had a nasty diy paint brush paint job . the forks . spokes . locks. headlight . tyres . hocks . cables etc were beyond salvage and many other parts !

I had intended to return this to a standard bike but in the end I kept the period alterations. so the re build has been extensive and I have used mostly new old stock parts so the new parts are listed as follows : stainless steel spokes . (wheels re built by srm engineering )rims and hubs polished. new forks . brakes . rake shoes and pads . rake hose /pipes . clock surround . yres matching avon roadriders  . il pump  . seat re apholstery . headlight and re chromed rim . halogen conversion . ngine rebuilt all oil seals replaced. standard air filter box fitted. points assembly fitted . nbsp;batry . speedo and rev cables . sprocket tabs. front disc re sprayed and new tabs fitted . frame swing arm side panel oil tank  headstock and seat unit re sprayed. stainless engine bolts fitted . ew wiring loom and indicators.  tank polished.

I have lots of parts which are included in the sale . old piranha ignition . nbsp;sets of clutch plates . nbsp;spare gear box . gasket sets . standard exhausts . 3 chain guards . original front brake master cylinder re sprayed (needs seals) . oads of little odds and ends . generator . a2 x crank shafts (needs new bearings) . side panel and fins . probably other bits to that I can remember . the original shocks . teering damper . nbsp;Haynes manuals .

Since this bike was last advertised . it was having running problems . right hand crank seal failed . so glad I had not sold it . I have now replaced the crank and seals . with a Vito race crank from the states at huge expense over £500. 00 with import duty . I found six hundred quid's worth of receipts. nbsp;but this does not come close to what I have spent on it . nbsp;which is closer to two grand .   Before the auction ends I will fit the newtronic . electronic ignition .   cash on collection please
