Yamaha RD 350
Up for sale today is a legendary Yamaha RD 350 - two stroke. This is a very low mile bike that I bought. The guy that I bought it from had it stripped down and was parting it out. I was able to buy everything except fuel tank. rear fender. side cover. and oil tank. I have since been able to pick those up at swap meets. I have been able to slowly make progress putting this bike back together. The frame has been painted. Swing arm bushings have been checked and greased. Steering stem bearings have been checked and greased. The bike is about 90% wired. It will take very little to get this bike going!
I think all that is let to do. would be to put in a couple of motor mount bolts. hang the exhaust. mount the carbs. hook up fuel lines. oil lines and attach cables. put a battery in I have not picked up a battery yet so there will not be one included). hook up turn signals. put the seat on it. and make sure everything is tight (everything is loosely put together now for mock up). And I think you would be good to go! Keep in mind this is a project bike. Everything must be gone through and tightened and checked before it can be started and it goes down the road (again it is in mock up so everything is loosely put together).
The fuel tank on the bike now will need to have a couple of dings popped out of the tank . The tank and side covers are from a RD250 they are the same as a RD350 except paint color. I also have not gotten around to having a key cut for the tank. but I do have the key code. I do have a seat pan for it. but it will need new foam and a seat cover. I also have the stock exhaust for it not pictured.
I think the only thing that is not on the bike is the original air box. battery. and maybe a couple of bolts. I was going to run after market fair filter pods. so I was not going to run an air box.
RD are getting very popular. They make great caf?© racers and are great vintage race bikes!
Parts are very easy to find. This is a very fun and fast bike to ride!
I sold an RD on here a couple weeks ago and I enjoyed having some free space in the garage. so I thought I might as well sell another one. This bike does have a clear title.
I will not ship bike but if you want to arrange and pay for everything and have it picked up here I will help load. Payment is due within 48 hours of auction end.
GOOD LUCK and HAPPY BIDDING!
