YAMAHA FZR400R SP EXUP, V5C, MOTORCYCLE, RARE IMPORT, 1987 RACING / RESTORATION.

With research what we have here is a 1987 onwards manufactured Yamaha FZR400R SP 2TK Exup Deltabox motorcycle being sold for racing/ track / restoration. great low mileage project bike although not running at present.

FZR400R SP model which makes this a rare beast in the UK as it was available in Japan only with I am informed maybe only 15 of this model road registered with DVLA.

V5C registration document present in my name. registered in the UK in 1995. nbsp;V5C shows 1989 as declared manufactured date but is likely to be earlier. the previous owner had to abandon the rebuild as he returned to America at short notice. USA military personnel. I took ownership at this time out of friendship but in reality this is not really my kind of machine hence this listing.

Engine last running two years ago when the bike was taken off the road for a re-spray and full service. some of the work was completed and most of the new parts required are included.

The engine manually turns over fine. I have not even tried to start this machine. requires engine oil and checking over. recommission work. battery etc. I spotted a broken exhaust stud which will require replacement.

New parts include front panel. spark plugs. oil filter. front indicators. mirror set. nbsp; panel fixing set. brake pad set. the front calipers have been overhauled and painted.

Please note that the new boxed rear drive chain shown in the images is not included as it was the smaller type purchased and this special model uses the bigger 525 chain.

Some of the panels have been prepared for painting. spare front mudguard included. the original single seat race unit is missing along with the original windscreen and silencer.

This model differs from the standard FZR400 by having the aluminium rear frame section. rear shock with remote reservoir. larger section swing arm. aluminium tank cover 4 pot front calipers. 525 drive chain and different sprocket sizes. close ratio gearbox. oil cooler. different pistons. longer con rods. nbsp;SP cams. CDI. round slide oval venture carbs.
