Here we have a Yamaha YZ 250 motorcross bike. we have owned it for the last 6 years and it was used for riding around our farm. We think it's a circa 1987 bike. there is no frame number. It has standard forks (not upside down) it has a disc front brake and a drum rear brake. It hasn't been ridden in anger for 4 years. it's been dry stored inside. It's been started periodically though and it was running yesterday. It has gold wheels and the tyres are good.
It idles fast. the carb may well need a clean out and readjust. The obvious problems are that the bike will require a new head bearing set as there is some play. it will also require attention to the front forks as there is a distinct lack of oil. they may just need topping up. The rear mudguard is damaged and loose. All these parts are available on ebay.
It's for sale due to lack of space. it is also frighteningly quick. nbsp;we're not brave enough to ride it any more!!
It would make a great field bike as is. or give it a little bit of tlc and make it much nicer.
