1971 Yamaha XS1-B Motorcycle

1971 Yamaha XS1-B. 650 CC. This is a vintage collector bike.

Cycle is almost totally original other than after market exhaust pipes and chain guard. The engine runs good and has good compression (165 PSI) in both cylinders. The carburetors have been taken off and cleaned with a new float on the right side. Both air filters have been replaced as well. I have personal driven this bike around the area. it shifts good on all 5 gears and has a lot of pep!

At times when you crank the engine. the kick starter will slip so you have to bring the kick crank back to the top of then and start over. I am thinking possibly the kick spring is getting worn or the kick gear is worn.

I replaced both tubes and tires with new Dunlop tires.

Front ?ˆ“ 3. 25X19 and Rear 4. 00X18-4 P. R.
