Yamaha XS250 (1978 S)

FOR SALE - 1978 Yamaha XS250If you are looking for winter project for customising or restoring then you can't go wrong with this XS250. Purchased for exactly that reason. the imminent arrival of a new addition to our family means I simply won't have the time to complete. The bike is complete but not currently running. Given that it has good compression. I suspect this is down to battery / electricals but of course I am unable to verify. The condition is good all-round for its age but as per the introduction. the bike does need resorting. Any post sale tyre kickers please bear this in mind. it is not a showroom condition bike that you can ride to the pub on collection!The second photo shows one specific area to be aware of. One of the engine side cover screws has clearly been over tightened in the past and cause the thread to crack through (not a technical term). This does not affect the integrity of the engine casing but obviously would need to be repaired. All in all a good honest XS250 and a great platform for anyone wanted to get their hands dirty.
