For sale by auction is my 2008 (08 plate) Yamaha YZFR125It is a learner legal 4 stroke 125cc singleQuite large for a 125 so is suitable for tall riders. Rear can be lowered if required by fitting a lowering kit which are available on ebay. (ie two link bars on bottom of shock). Reasonably fast for a learner bike. 80mph can be seen. I was getting around 80 miles to the gallon. Bike has few marks as to be expected from normal use but is in good clean overall condition.
Mileage was approx 12. 50 when I bought it and now is 19. 08 miles. Used as a daily commuter to work covering about 50 miles per day. I passed my full bike test recently and am now using a 600 so no longer need this bike.
Mot'd until September 2015 and it recently passed with no advisories. Bike is currently taxed but due to the new dvla laws regarding tax discs no vehicle can now be purchased with road tax so the new buyer will need to tax it (£17 for 12 months).
V5 logbook present and in my name. Owners handbook and Haynes manual included. Two original keys. Red lcd speedo and fuel gauge. Analogue rev counter. LED tail light. Pillion seat and footpegs.
Oxford heated grips fitted. Tailtidy fitted and with an mot legal reflector. Pipeworx tail can fitted from a Kawasaki 400. stainless steel. Flange welded to downpipe so it bolts on and looks factory. Sounds a deeper tone than standard. Amber led side markers. Very recent new Continental front tyre. Rear tyre has approx 3. 2mm of tread in centre. Recent new air filter and oil+filter change. Coolant flush done. Valve clearances adjusted. Tank pad and 'one-off' white graphics. Recent new rubber chain slider. Red alloy panel bolts. Red alloy brake fluid cap. Upgraded sparkplug cap (prevents misfires when raining)Upgraded Xenon headlight bulb. 50% brighter and more noticable. Front lower mudguard extender. Recent new battery (motobatt). Toolkit. New upgraded headstock roller bearings fitted. Recent speedo wheel sensor fitted. New cush drive rubbers fitted.
Side panels have been partially coloured black (see photos) to hide some scratches which were present when I bought the bike. Top end was starting to sound a bit 'rattlely'. although when I had the engine running today it didn't sound bad. Think rattle is the piston rings and is more present after a ride and hot. Bike is ok to use but at some point in the future it would be good idea to fit a new piston kit which can be bought for about £50 and its quite a simple task to remove the top end been only a single cylinder. If my reserve sale price is reached then new gaskets will be included in the sale and also a good secondhand cylinder if needed at some point. Rear tyre has slow puncture. loses about 5psi a week. mostly when bike isn't in daily use so I suspect its the rim seal. removing then cleaning the inner rim edge would solve this.
If the bike reaches my reserve price I will include a load of spare parts. Some are new. some are good seconds. I have a habbit of buying the odd spare part when I see them which can come in handy if the bike needs fixing on a night or weekend and all the shops are closed.
