Yamaha TRX850 / TRX 850 - Blue 1997 "R" reg - Great Twin Cylinder Sports bike

This is my Yamaha TRX850 Twin that I am selling. It is on a 1997 UK "R" reg and it is a UK bike. I have the full V5 logbook in my name.

I've owned this bike for just over 6 years and it has been great fun. Always fancied one and thought I would get one to see what all the fuss was about. Love it. the engine is so much fun. I put a pair of Gibson Stainless Steel exhaust silencers on it when I first got it. It makes a great sound. always turns heads and leaving you looking for tunnels to ride through :) Fast becoming a modern classic. it always got the attention at local bike meets. So you may ask why am I selling it? Simple I've bought another one :) Got offered a very low mileage bike and had to have it. :)

The previous owner had this bike for many years as well and he spent quite a bit of time and money on it. He had the suspension serviced and rebuild with K-Tech and generally keep it in good condition. The bodywork is in okay condition. but does have some cracks and scrapes on it. The top fairing is the worse. it has been touched up in a couple of places. the worse being pictured. But overall the bike looks quite good. The tyres are good.

I've not had it on the road since the last MOT ran out back in 2012. It has been sat in storage ever since. so will need checking over for an MOT before use. I can not see anything it would fail an MOT on at all. In fact if I get time I might pop it down for one myself. Of course if I do the price will be increased to reflect this. The brakes do feel a little sticky. but would expect this as it has been stood. The battery also may need replacing. I did charge it up to start it last week. but it hasn't stayed up long. If it is being ridden it may well come back up. Everything else is working fine. lights. indicators. etc.

I have loads of receipts. old MOT's. service book. etc for it. It is a great bike. You will find cleaner and better ones (I have. hence the sale). but it has been good reliable fun for me over the past 6 years.
