YAMAHA PW50 - GENUINE NOT CHINESE COPY - GOOD RUNNER KIDS CHILDS MOTOX

This auction is for a genuine Yamaha PW 50.   It is old - I don't know how old - but still going strong.   We are selling because my son has grown out of it and is moving up to something bigger.

We have owned the bike for two and a half years. during which time it has been used (very gently) on fields at a family farm and on a handful of occasions at the junior track at Wild Tracks near Newmarket.   I would guess that he has probably ridden it for 20 hours or so in total and it has run perfectly once it is started and warmed up.

The good bits:

Goes and stops like it's supposed to. It uses a healthy amount of two stroke oil - not a lot but it leaves the usual blue haze behind it.   It's when a two stroke stops smoking that you need to worry!It has been easy and unintimidating for my son to ride - he was just 4 when he started - the restrictor bolt in the throttle has meant that I have been able to tailor the bike to his experience and the conditions that he has been riding in. When we first got it. I treated it to a new back tyre and a new spark plug and air filter.

Negatives:

It can be difficult to start from cold. particularly when it has been sitting for a while.   I have a suspicion that the choke is not doing what it is supposed to but I am not mechanically minded and it hasn't been a showstopper - just keep kicking away at the starter and it splutters into life eventually.   Once it has started once and warmed a little. it restarts at the first kick. Everything works as it should but this is a well used bike and as you can see from the photos. cosmetically it would benefit from a little tlc.   All I have done with it is check the oil levels (gearbox and two stroke). put petrol in it and wash it when it's dirty.

The bike is available for collection from very near to J28 of the A12 by Colchester football stadium or alternatively. I frequently travel to the East Midlands (Grantham) and would be happy to deliver/meet up along one of my possible routes i. e. A12 to Ipswich then A14 past Newmarket/Cambridge and up the A1 as far as Grantham or from Colchester along the A120 to Stansted then North up the M11 to meet the A14/A1.   If you wish to take up this option please contact me before bidding to ensure that your location is agreeable. otherwise you will need to collect.   I will also require full payment through Paypal within 24 hours of the auction end if you want the bike delivered.   Cash is fine if you are collecting (I will provide a written receipt).
