Description

1981 Yamaha XV750For sale is our beloved XV750. after years of looking for one in good condition. due to health reasons we must let ours go. We purchased this in a very good condition. just needing new paint which was due to be done this winter until now. The bike started playing up a few weeks ago backfiring and was found to be down to some very badly coked up valves so I have very recently just completed a top end rebuild using all genuine parts and gaskets and now she starts and sounds beautiful everytime. both side casings have been replaced with better condition ones. seat replaced. upgraded stainless exhaust with link pipe removed and a single carb conversion. She goes better. she sounds better and is even better on fuel. the upgrades alone for this bike are worth over half it's value and we have put blood sweat and tears into this bike. if it wasn't for health reasons i wouldn't be selling her so please don't insult me with ridiculous offers. THE ONLY THING THIS BIKE NEEDS IS TUNING AND THE RIGHT COLOUR PAINT. Admittedly this being a gen 1. it suffers from  the noisy starter and believe me when i say i know my stuff. this one is the incurable model unless you change the crankcase. but if you really want one of the first models. you learn to live with it as many others do. clocks were replaced by previous owner but the milage is approximately 20k over it's true milage. Tyres are good. brakes are very good. clutch same. as i said. just needs tuning and paint. box of parts to go free with the bike. pick up only or you arrange your own courier. viewings welcome. please contact if you have any questionsInformation added:Took her out today for a drive. happy to report she runs through all the gears. most definately a tuning issue as stated before. wouldn't advise riding her at mo as back wheel spins far too easyand once again. needs a good tune to get her running right.
