Description

For sale is my 1998 XVS650 with a lot of spare parts 33579 miles on it but this may move up a bit as I like to keep the bikes moving. wont go too far though!V5 is present for the bike and spare frame. MOT has 11 months on it to date (no advisories). I'm not sure how the new tax malarkey works but I'm pretty sure that doesn't transfer any more so to ride away would need to sort that out. It has some but I really don't know what the government is doing! The bike has always started first time and goes happily. has never missed a beat! It had a pair of new tires around 200 miles ago so wont be needing any on it for a while. They are matching Maxxis classics. The shock absorber on it is a Hagon and was refurbished two months ago. it comes with a two year warranty so its a piece of mind on that! The petrol tank could be better. rust free but there's a big dent on the left side which can be seen in pictures and the paint is not very good. There is a spare petrol tank but its a similar situation. my plan was to work on the spare. getting it extended and painted. maybe radicalized a bit!The engine paint has also flaked off. would need repainted or getting rid of the remainder. depends what style you go for! As seen in the pictures it shines up pretty nice. though the chrome on some of the engine casings could be better. there are spare engine casings in better condition. (I was going to spray them black and get them hydro-dipped as chrome isn't my thing) It was going to be a bobber project for me but with work commitments I have practically no time for fiddling with bikes anymore and I have another 5 to finish off and get rid of! This is the first to go for sale as its good to go as is and realistically needs very little done to make it a shining example again. or a radical re change to an awesome bobber or chopper as to me the looks are already perfectly set to slap on some bits! I guess google doesn't help with the imagination! As I said before there's a fair amount of spares for it. The list here is what I remember there may be a few more lingering in the boxes. I will get a picture of the spare frame and swing arm shortly. If you come to view you're more than welcome to dig through the boxes! They fit into a car with the seats down rather nicely so no worries about getting them home. Frame + swingarm 3x Carburetors (not perfect condition and have not tested them but worst comes to it will be able to make one or two good sets)  Wiring loom (has been cut in places)Petrol tank (rusty under and slight dent on right side) ECU2x Relay  Ignition barrel and key Standard shock absorber. no leaks. Front and rear wheels (front with brake disc. lots of meat left!) Front brake caliperFront and rear seat Rear fender. brake light and indicators attached Engine casings Speedo clock and surroundHiFlo oil filter. New1x coil pack with standard HT lead attached  Pair of silencer end cans (badly scratched)Box of various engine parts Saddle bag supportsTheres a fair amount more but again off the top of my head its a bit difficult to remember! I'll edit the list when I get the boxes out and have a search. There's also a practically new Haynes manual for the bike. I've only had a flick through it. Still has that new book smell!Any and all viewers are welcome. If you want to ride it then bring the cash with you as it wont go out without some security on my end (sorry but stranger danger is getting a little to high for my liking these days!) I genuinely don't think you will be disappointed with the way it rides!I will be on holiday from the 6th to the 10th of October but if you're in the area or desperate I can inform someone in the house to show you around it. same rules will apply to them if you want to take it out for a spin! I try to be as thorough with listings as possible but any questions just ask. ill have my mobile with me on holiday so will see ebay messages.  I'm happy to receive offers. never hurts to try! I like to think I'm a pretty reasonable and nice person! Bike located CH7. Mold. 20 minuets from Chester.  The bike will be sold as seen and cash on collection.  No oversea bidders please but thank you for your interest.
