1978 Yamaha YZ 400

Up for auction is a very original one owner 1978 YZ 400.  This bike has never been on a racetrack. only ridden around the house and occasionally on the northern Michigan trails.  Its not perfect and shows signs of use but mechanically its great.  The motor has never been apart so its still on the original piston.  Everything is original right down to the tires which will need to be replaced as they are worn pretty bad.  Also. the front brake plate and cable are missing.  other than that everything is there.  The bike starts with one kick and runs great.  shifts through all the gears perfect.  The wheel bearings and swingarm bearings are perfect. no slop anywhere and the rear shock works like new.  The original fork boots are torn and the forks feel like they could use a rebuild but I dont see a leak anywhere.  I even have the original tool kit for the bike.  The bike is sold as-is. no warranty. and the winning bidder will receive a bill of sale.  There is no title for the bike.  The buyer is to make all shipping arrangements.  I do have a few numbers of good shippers if you need them but its up to you to call them.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
