1999 YAMAHA R6 SPORTBIKE YZF-R6* NO RESERVE **** FOR PARTS***

RELISTING DUE TO TEST RIDE GONE BAD> CHAIN FLEW OFF AND LOST OIL> HAVE NOT RUN IT SINCE. SELLING AS IS NOT RUNNING. I have a clean. California Title . It had a new chain (now gone). rear shock. good battery. new wheel bearings in front. . Engine sounds very tight and doesnt have any signs of being tired. No leaks. No clatter. No slappy chains or rattling clutch baskets. It really sounds crisp. Cosmetics are showing the age of the bike. Small crack in tail fairing above and between tail lights. I have not yet done a light inspection but all seems to work except blinkers at this time and I will check into those. The bike looks great from a few good steps back. Close inspection shows the frame was spray painted black over the aluminum and was done a while back and not by the real pros. The fairings have been on and off enough times over the years and not all gaps are great. I installed a new fairing bolt kit . Wheels could use a repaint too. Tires are both weak- both legal BUT PRETTY WORN. I would say they both have 20% life remaining . RE-LISTED DUE TO INCIDENT WHILE SHOWING THE BIKE TO A BIDDER WHEN IT WAS RUNNING FINE. BIKE HAD NEW CHAIN RECENTLY INSTALLED AND CHAIN FAILED ON FREEWAY. I PICKED UP BIKE AND FOUND IT TO BE LEAKING OIL. I DID NOT START IT OR RUN IT. THERE IS ALSO A SMALL DENT (2-3") ON SIDE OF TANK NOT SHOWN IN PICTURES DUE TO THE TANK HITTING THE RAIL ON MY TRAILER.

 NOTE: I DONT SEE WIRING IN THE HARNESS THAT WOULD GO TO THE BLINKERS.

I DONT KNOW IF THE PLASTIC OIL TANK WAS DAMAGED OR THE ENGINE CASE WAS DAMAGED WHEN THE CHAIN FLEW OFF. ALSO THE CHAIN GUARD SHOWN IN PICTURES IS NOW DAMAGED AS WELL. AGAIN. I AM NO LONGER SELLING THIS AS A RUNNING MOTORCYCLE. I DONT PLAN ON INVESTING ANY TIME INTO DIAGNOSING OR REPAIRING IT. PLEASE BID AS YOU WOULD FOR PARTS ONLY. THANKS
