Yamaha Dragstar XVS650 Classic 1999 Excellent condition

A very tidy example of the Dragstar XVS 650 Classic in black and cream. This bike is as good as the photos suggest. Paintwork in great condition except a small scratch on the bottom of rear fender and a slight bubbling on front fender (see photo) but barely noticable. Since I bought the bike it has only been taken out when dry. Lots of miles left in the tyres. MOT until 1 August 2015. ( previous test certificates back to 2006 are available)Unfortunately the new rules on road tax mean that the remaining tax cannot be transferred. Datatagged and DNA coded for peace of mind. Leather saddlebags - well used and have been repaired but still lots of life left. Bag supports are from the XVS1100 and modified to give full support to the bags. stop them moving and keep them clear of exhaust and paintwork. Seats have been covered in black leather with 2 inch of extra padding and larger seating for pillion for added comfort. and a small back support for the rider. These covers are laced on over the original seats so can easily be removed to leave the original seats. Genuine Yamaha backrest - like new. Rack for topbox. This is home made as you cannot buy a rack for a top box for a dragstar. We have used it for 4 years with a 2 helmet box. NOTE the topbox is not included. I have owned this bike for 5 years and it has never let me down but I have just bought a bigger bike so it has to go.
