1975 Yamaha FS1-E 3000 miles from new

I have for sale this French market 1975 Yamaha FS1-E. Being a French model it differs in a few ways from a British model. The front disc brake and this colour were not available until later in the UK. The indicators are different and the metal strip around the seat base and plastic speedo are the ones I can see. There are possibly some others.

The bike has genuinely done just 4800 kms which is exactly 3000 miles and is mechanically in excellent order as you would expect. I have the original key and the bike starts and sounds lovely. It has been carefully stored for many years and the only thing that needs doing is the front disc brake needs bleeding. I have started the bike by putting petrol straight down the fuel pipe rather than through the tank as it has been stored for a while.

The original seat is in fantastic condition with no splits. The paintwork is original with no sign of any repairs and whilst naturally showing some marks and fading it is very presentable. The chrome is very good for a 39 year old bike. There are some stone chips on the crankcase and normal wear and tear as you would expect but again it is an unrestored and unabused 39 yearold moped. I was a fizzy lad in the 70`s and this bike is much better than most 2 year old bikes. Back in the day these bikes had a very hard life. This one has not suffered that fate. One of the rear indicator lenses is cracked.

The bike has its French log book that will make registration straight forward. I will also supply a French cession de vehicle certificate to assist with registration. The bike is already back in the UK and is available for viewing in the Worthing area by arrangement.
