Welcome to the sale of my Yamaha YZ250 motocross bike. Only selling due to lack of time actually getting out on it and need the cash

As this bike is nearly 25 years old there are a few knocks and scrapes and it?ˆ™s not a concourse condition bike but is it quite tidy and goes like hell!

I purchased it several years ago with the aim of doing it all up as it had a crack in the drive-side casing. so purchased a new one and when stripped the motor apart. found that it was knackered so I had the motor professionally re-built including all bearings (crank bearings. little end etc?ˆ¦. ). seals. over-sized piston. rings. re-bore (up to 254 I think. not 100% sure). con-rod kit. pins. all gaskets etc?ˆ¦. so it runs like a charm.

Since re-build I have gently run it in and it?ˆ™s had about 3 hours ride time. I have also used quite a rich mix in terms of 2-stroke to ensure that all is run in correctly

There are a few bad points however. the exhaust has a few dents (nothing too major) and looks like it?ˆ™s been welded at some point over the years. the front fork seals could do with replacing at some point and the rear shock could do with re-conditioning. also the kill switch doesn?ˆ™t work. the front and rear sprockets and chain could do with replacing and the rear brake is a bit loose on its mounts but still works fine and the seat has a few small rips in it.

Despite these few issues. as said. the bike runs and goes well.
